To the Honorable Board:

 

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $64,000, and authorization for the City Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor to borrow $64,000 for the procurement of Architectural and Engineering Services associated with the design of new firefighter living quarters at the existing Fire Headquarters, 220 Washington St.

 

The intent of the project is to replace the existing temporary trailer living quarters with a prefabricated modular two story structure, also to be used as living quarters.

 

To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $64,000 as provided by M.G.L. Chapter 44, Section 7, Subsection (29).
